Christmas Lunch

The Club Christmas Lunch is at The Bay Horse, Hurworth on Saturday 3rd December. We have the whole pub and there is a two or three course menu to choose from. Please contact Ben Scotting on e-mail - it was with the last club minutes and I'll get it put on the October minutes too. Cheers!

December Prix Fixe Menu

Starters
Twice baked smoked salmon soufflé with smoked salmon and sweet onion boudin

Pheasant & parsnip risotto with parsnip crisps and Madeira crumb

(v) Winter carrot soup with toasted pine nuts, tarragon, honey and goats cheese

Salt beef croquette with English mustard cream, cranberries, celeriac and homemade HP sauce

Main courses

Game suet pudding with plum jelly, pomme puree, white onion, watercress and Yorkshire jus

Pressed belly pork with black pudding puree, apple relish, Doreen black pudding and pork pop corn

Pan fried hake with butternut squash, green herb aioli, Whitby crab burgers and toasted pumpkin seeds

(v) Mushroom and roasted shallot hash cakes with mushroom duxelle, parsnip puree and green béarnaise.  Served with seasonal vegetables and roast potatoes

Desserts 

Dark chocolate mousse with caramelised banana, marinated raisins, banana and chocolate chip ice cream

Blackberry & apple Eton mess parfait with blackberry puree, cinnamon crumble, apple and brandy custard 

Fig & almond frangipane with fig puree, honeycomb,  almond cream and clementine sorbet

Bay Horse cheeseboard with cranberry relish and oat cakes
